Upgraded my old windows 2000 professional system when I
got braodband installed.

now completely up to date with latest upgrades, fixes,
patches from the microsoft website.

Upgrading has left 100's of MB of files which I believe
are backup files in case the upgrade failed?

anybody know which directories I can start deleting
without affecting the system as it is really stable just
now.

thanks

You can delete the C:\WinNT\$NTUninstallxxxxxxxx
directories if you feel the need to.
