using offline files and getting differences between files on mapped network
drives and those on terminals. Terminals using old versions. Have tried
manual synchs and synch and logoff, logon and deleting all offline files.
still get same prob.

What is odd is that all terminals have same error - suggesting that it's a
problem with the server (cache?).

I also noted that when manually deleting offline files, if you viewed files
offline files from that window, the correct files were displayed.

Any ideas.

The clients are running XP pro - server is w2k sp4. We are running advanced
terminal server and have offline files in use. Offline files themselves seem
ok, it's the mapped drive where we get errors. We open the H: drive - mapped
to a file on the server and get a typically an thumbnail view of the files.
Selecting some of the files works ok (they are all jpeg files). with some
files you click on an thumbnail but it opens another file - the wrong image!

Thumbnails and actual files seem out of synch!

Yes, that is one of the symptoms you can expect when using offline
files in an unsupported environment.

Explained and documented here:
