Windows 10 Windows 10 upgrade gone horrible wrong

Hi, I upgraded from Windows 7 to 10, took about 40 minutes, then, after a few restarts, the system said something like "Restoring previous Windows version", but it stayed stuck on that forever. So I decided to re-install Windows 7 with my licensed cd. Repair disc or any other option didn't work so I did a clean install. But now all I have is a black screen... (I can see the mouse pointer though).

Can anybody point me in the right direction?
 
Okay, I've followed every instruction, but I'm still looking at at a black screen with a white mouse pointer...

If anyone has tips on how to install Ubuntu on a dead Windows 7 pc, please send me your tips!
 
I installed Ubuntu (quite easy actually). Now I need to find a way to revert back to Windows 7 so I can update to Windows 10...
