Windowa not detecting my hard drive

I have been trying to get a Western Digital 160GB installed in my
computer as a secondary drive. I had a problem with installation but I
solved it. My computer wouldnt boot up after I installed my secondary
drive, but I found the problem to be the power supply. My current
power supply was 300watts, I intalled a 400watt power supply and the
problem was fixed. But now the problem is that windows xp will not
recognized the drive, but the bios does recognizes it. I downloaded
data lifeguard from the Western Digital web site, it didnt help. It is
only allowing me to partition 137GB.

If the WD is the IDE version, and the only device on the channel, remove
the jumper pin from the back of the drive.
