My pc had start up problem few time in about last 18
months.
I used start up diskes and the Window XP CD which came
with my pc reinstalled. It deleted all data in HD and
the problem happened again and again.
What is the best way to stop that problem may happen
again.
Thank you very much for any suggestion.

Hi

I'm not sure that I understand what you are doing and why.

What kind of XP CD have you got - an OEM version? If so, that CD will only
perform a 'clean' install of XP and will delete all data on your hard
disk/partition. What startup problems have you got that needs disks and CDs
to sort it out?

Will,

Thank you very for your time. I used the Operating System
M.S. Window XP Home Edtion CD which came with my PC when
I bought it from DEll.

The startup problem was couldn't boot up to desdtop when
I turned on my PC. On the screen said something like
that "...computer had a problem to boot up that maybe
caused by newed installation software or hardware...,
choice Safe Model or other listed ways to startup." I
did try all the listed ways, but it didn't help.

Do you have any idea to prevent the problem happen again?

Thank you very much,

Ken Chen
