I just purchased XP (upgrade from 98) and am having a
problem loading it. I got a message that file SSDPSRV.DLL
could not be copied. Further to that the message stated
to "ensure that the location below was correct, or change
it and insert Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 1 CD in
the drive I selected". I do not have this Service Pack so
I selected cancle and the installation of XP continued
until it was about 22 minutes remaining on "Registering
Components" where it hangs up. I tried shuting down the
computer but it still hangs up in the same place.

I assume the two problems are related but I see on the
Microsoft web page that the Service Pack 1 is no longer
downloadable.

Any suggestions?
