The only way that I can get my computer to reboot in
normal mode is to unplug it from the wall for about an
hour after shutting it down, and then I can use it,
Otherwise if I try to restart, it will just freeze up.
From all indications I did not get the blasterworm virus.
This action started around Aug. 15, 2003. I have been
using windows XP for over a 18 months without any problems.

Hi, Msparkling.

Sounds to me like a hardware problem. Most likely overheating. Maybe a
power supply problem, or a slowing/dying fan.
