I am so not happy with Windows Vista Mail!!!! I have put a message in its
folder only to have it reappear in my inbox and then telling me an unknown
error had occurred. If it is an error, WHY doesn't windows Mail know what
kind of error it is so I can try to fix it,. Now I can't get the message off
of my screen, and it won't delete and it won't go to the folder it is
supposed to go into. I am seriously considering going to another mail server
all together.

I am sure WM is very unhappy over your threat to desert it.
Why don't you follow through and get WM's replacement:

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no
protection not provided by the regular resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
should be uninstalled.

If you are not willing to just ignore them, the only way is to delete both
copies of the database (which does not contain the messages, but only
references to them) and let WinMail rebuild it.
First close WinMail, then use Task Manager to make sure there are no
instances of it under applications or processes.
Then click Start | Search | Advanced Search
Check the box to include non-indexed, hidden and system files.
In the Name field type WindowsMail.MSMessageStore and click the Search
button.
It should show you two copies. Delete both of them and re-open WinMail.
WinMail will work in the background and recover all of the messages that are
really there.
