Is it possible that the screen text size got increased (Display
Properties/Settings/Advanced/DPI setting) ? Many dialogs will use the
default system font, but not take the font size into account in the dialog
box sizing.

It's hard to explain to people but there is a picture of
my problem and I can't fix it. Any assistance would be
much appreciated because not only is that make many
programs very hard-- if not impossible-- to use. Not to
mention its ugly.

I posted a distress call about the same thing a few days ago, after the
problem prevented me from upgrading to NAV 2004, because I couldn't see
the buttons etc. on the dialog box. It was very hard to describe. (The
graphic is impressive!) I tried every setting I could think; others
suggested the same and more (including more updates for my video
adapter). I finally called in help.

Val, your thoughts are very close to what I was told--and had checked
prior. The catch seems to be that the font text settings show "normal"
size but actually are large, due to corrupted system fonts. (Mine were
arial fonts.) Unfortunately, he said I couldn't simply remove and
replace the fonts manually, but had to reinstall XP. I'm still
reinstalling everything else. (The programs show up in Explorer, but
the registry didn't recognize them until I reinstalled them.

I now have a stacked user folder (within documents and settings),
because he said I couldn't use my same name. However, I no longer have
chopped and cropped dialog boxes.

Good luck, Steve!

BJ
