FOr some reason the windows are now opening to the left
of the full screen and I have about and inch of black
space on my monitor. Thus, I cannot read the first few
words of any content because they start too far to the
left.
It sounds like your monitor settings are messed up, or your refresh rate
has been set to something less than optimal. Let's go second first.
Right click on a blank area of the desktop and select Properties. This
will bring up your display properties. Go to the Settings and click the
Advanced button. In the advanced settings screen go to the Monitor tab.
Make sure that "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" is checked.
Then try adjust the refresh rate by making a different choice in the drop
list. Click Apply between each change to see if the change is
satisfactory. A higher refresh rate will be easier on your eyes, so
choose the highest available that still looks good.
If that doesn't fix the problem, then you most likely need to manually
adjust your monitor settings. There should be controls on the front or
bottom of your monitor that you can press to adjust the left and right
alignment of the display screen.
