Now, I have to enlarge each window. How do I reset so the 'normal" window
size appears without having to go up to the top right and click on the "blow
up" square.

I'm running Win XP Pro.Thanks

"Normal" size is what you have now - windows that do not open covering the
entire desktop.

"Blow up" or "maximize" is an optional choice. With many programs, maximize
the window and then close it. The program should remember the window size
and open maximized the next time it is opened.

OR right click on the shortcut for the program and select Properties. In
the properties sheets that appear, look for the "Run:" box on the page with
the "Shortcut" tab. Change "normal" to "maximized" using the drop down
list.

Internet Explorer is an exception to this rule. Use the mouse to resize the
window as large as possible and then close. When exiting the program, the
last window closed should be one of these resized windows. If you miss,
then you'll get smaller windows the next time the program is launched --
not a problem, just resize with the mouse again.

In my experience, the last size and position of a given window is the
way it comes back after you close it and reopen it.

Not happening?

To set a window so that each time the window opens, it does not open
maximized but to the size you want:

1. Ensure the window is not currently maximized
2. Resize size window manually until you get it to be the size and look you
want.
3. Close the window

Now each time the window opens, it will look the size you leave it.
