Stu

In several programs, I cannot reduce the size of the
window. It has been happening in Word ever since it came
with the computer. However, it has just started happening
with Outlook Express. When I click on Create Message, the
window fills up the entire screen, even though the upper
right corner indicates it's in the reduced size (double
box). When I click on the double box, it changes to the
single box, but the window remains exactly the same size.

How can I get the reduced window to operate properly...
both for Word and for Outlook Express?

Any help you could offer would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Stu,

The double box indicates that the Window is maximized. Click the double
box, and get the single box back. This indicates that its in "less than
maximized" mode. Then use your mouse to resize the window by dragging the
edges. The use the File, Close or File, Exit menu to close the window. The
size should be retained. Additionally, only have one of the specific
windows in question open when you do this.
