When i turn my PC on and open a program the window is very small and
tucked away in a corner. I have to drag, resize and move it around. Now
for the rest of the time my PC is on no problem i can open and close
any window and it come back to the size i left it. Problem is, when i
shut down and turn my PC on again, i'm back to the same problem of
dragging, moving and resizing the window...very annoying! Does anyone
know how i can set the size of my window once and for all. Thanks

Drag the window to the upper left part of your screen, drag the lower right
all the way down to the bottom of your screen, press and hold ctrl and then
click on the "X" in the upper right. It will then stay that way. This
doesn't work if you press the maximize button so you have to drag it to the
size you want and then press the ctrl button and "X" it out.

Nope this didn't work. I tried what you said then I turned my PC off
then back on again and when i opened my internet explorer the window is
small again. It didn't stay the larger size...damn.

Try Right Clicking on Your IE Icon on your Desktop, choose properties, Run
( Choose Maximized) Click Apply. Then reboot and see if that works.

Mickey if i right click IE then choose properties there is no "run".
What i am faced with is tabs-general, security, privacy, content,
connections, programs and advanced but no "run"?

Click Start, All Programs, Right Click On IE, Send To, Desktop (Create
Shortcut), by doing this it will place the icon on the desktop that will
give you the option of performing the steps that I had explained in the
previous post, Before you do this step make sure the IE Icon is not on your
desktop, then proceed with these steps. I have done this and have found
myself in a similar situation as yours, but when I performed these steps the
problem subsided.

Last Post for the Night,

Best of Luck to You,

Do a system restore to a time when this worked (yesterday, the day before).

Mickey "you da man"! It worked. Thanks...The IE was on my desktop so i
deleted it, then went into start. I didn't have IE in my all programs
but it was in the top left column of the start menu. I created a
shortcut and followed the previous step and it worked..problem solved.
Do you know I spent over 3 hours on-line with hp support last night and
they still couldn't figue this one out. Thanks again.
