Hi,
After trying loads of things unsuccessfully to improve choppy game graphics
I am going to try a Windows reinstall. Does anyone know whether this could
help, and whether it will over write everything like prgrams already
installed?
Thanks,

Hi Maurice,

This is refering to the Windows Repair procedure which will not have
a major impact on your Programs and Data ...

How To Repair Windows:
Unplug from your Internet connection, and then repair Windows:
using this method: http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

Afterwards, boot up your system, turn on your XP Internet Firewall,
plug back into your Internet connection and install all Critical and

Hi Jimmy,
Thanks for your reply. I
don't mind reinstalling everything on my computer, would it be better to do
a complete reinstall. Could that iron out any problems?
Thanks.

Hi Maurice,

Giving your system a clean start by formatting the drive and
freshly installing your favorite OS is always a good idea. :-)

Hi Jimmy,
I have tried out a complete reinstall and am just putting things back on.
I followed the fresh reinstall guide but during this process it did not give
me the option to reformat the drive. After completing the install I found
that all my program files are intact, but not registered as installed with
xp.
If I delete all these files, and clean their mentions from the registry then
defrag before reinstalling them, do you think that will help?
Is there another option to reformat?
Thanks again!
