window previews on taskbar

I like the way Vista shows miniature versions of application windows when I
hover over the taskbar button. But there is an issue with it. If I am typing
something and accidentally move the mouse pointer to the taskbar, the
miniature preview still appears and DOES NOT GO AWAY even when the typing
cursor moves and goes "under" the preview, effectively not allowing me to see
what I am typing.

In any case, when I am typing I am probably not looking at the mini-preview.
So I would like the preview to disappear as soon as I start typing, pretty
much like when the pointer disappears in XP (or in Office Suite. I don't
remember). May be it can reappear after 2-3 seconds of inactivity.
Reappearance is optional but being unable to see what I am typing is a real
bugger for me.

What build are you using?

A lot of issues with live preview have been solved since Beta 2.

I reject your reality and substitute my own.

RC1 Build 5728. The issue is not a bug. it is a design issue.

Ahh well if you do work at a low resolutions, or enjoy typing near the
taskbar you can disable the live previews in the Taskbar and Start Menu
Properties.

Hmmm... move the mouse. As someone else queried... how does the mouse move
over the taskbar while you're typing? Seems like an anomaly to me... but I'm
not saying your observation has no value.

I don't. typing fills up the page. I move the mouse down & out of my way.
The live preview does not appear until after a second or so. in the mean
time, i have resumed typing. then suddenly a little bugger pops out of no
where to interrupt me.

@Paul: No I do not want to turn them off. I think that it is a very good
feature. excellent, in fact. Other thing is that sometimes I do not have a
choice but to type near the taskbar. for example, while filling out a form on
a webage.

Yes, know there are work arounds for everything. and for this one it would
be to train myself to move mouse somewhere else. or move the window around.

Please note that I am not asking for a solution here. I am suggesting a
modification to existing feature. You do not need defend your position. I am
not critisizing anyone. It is a mere suggestion.
