How do I delete or block this wimdow that reappears every 30 seconds that is
worse then any annoying issue I've ever experienced on my computer?
"To free up disk space, Outlook Express can compress messages." I use
Outlook Express 6

This newsgroup is for Outlook, which is a part of the Office suite. Outlook
Express is a totally different program. Please post your question in an
Outlook Express newsgroup.

Tell it ok? try tools, options, maintenance.... or ask in an outlook express
forum (this one is for outlook).

I agreed to Window XP service pack update and since then, the entire time I
have Outlook open, I am bombarded with this "To free up disk space OE can
compress messages..." pop up window. If I hit cancel it pops back up in less
than ten seconds. If I say "ok" it runs its little routine in about 1 second
and then is back in my face in less than a minute.

If I restore, still have the problem of outdated service pack. I have
cleaned out mega numbers of files from email, but made NO difference. I never
got this before the update.
Thanks

This group is focused on Microsoft Outlook which is different from
Outlook Express. However, the links below should get you where
you need to be.

Yes, but I AM on OUTLOOK, not OE and the blankety blank annoying window says
OE, please make it go away. Thanks.

I thought I saw a reply from Diane Poremsky (Outlook Guru, MVP) to
you asking if you had just answered the message with YES and let the
system do it. Did you?

I have gotten this message also, and I just answered ok.

If I tell it yes, it zips thru its little routine in about 1 second and COMES
RIGHT BACK with 60 seconds. If I cancel, it comes back in ten. It started
immediately after the last service pack Windows XP update.

The same annoying problem. This group refers you to an OE group - however,
Microsoft no longer support OE so they just send you nowhere. Obviously
nobody but MSFT gurus know the solution but they push you into newer mail
programs.

So compress the messages already.

No, there's an OE news group. How is that "sending you nowhere"?
