Just built pc, for mostly speed, and making movies, First time trying to
build pc. The Speed is awesome plays games great, the trouble is I also built
to be able to run MWM and that is where the trouble is, Boughtvv Soft ware,
Window XP, installed and I do not think I have the latest WMM, un able to
burn DVD out of movie I made. Only a CD is able to burn.

The only way to burn a dvd from windows xp is to have dvd authoring software
installed, such as nero/roxio/ulead movie factory etc.

The latest Movie Maker for XP is version 2.1
and it does not have the option to burn DVDs.

You will have to save you project in a movie
format...wmv or .avi and then use DV Authoring
software that is compatible with those formats
to burn your DVD. Some possibles are NeroVison,
ProShow Gold, Ulead, Roxio / WinDVD, etc.
(the links pasted below may help also)

To save as an .avi movie file...
(and several other options)
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Show More Choices /
Other Settings /
Open the drop window and choose...DV-AVI /
Next /
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

To save as a .wmv movie file...
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Tick...'Best Quality For My Computer'
Next/
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

After many fail attempts to burn a DVD from movie maker, I've discovered that
it is a lot easier to do than it at first seems. If you click the option
"Save to computer" (this can be found under the "Finish Movie" section if you
click the tasks button on the menu bar) it will automatically save it as wmv
file and you shouldn't have any other problems putting your new movie into
DVD authoring software.
