window messenger and/or msn.net messenger?????????????????

OK, what the differance between window messenger and msn.net messenger. Why
would I need both particularly since if I have msn messanger my internet
opens to msn which I do not want to use as its not my home page!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any thoughts.

For details on the difference, see the msn.messenger or windowsxp.messenger
group. There is also an explanation at the help site i think.

You probably do not need windows messenger. MSN messenger does more.

You can change your home page to whatever you wish using control panel >>
classic view >> internet options. Changing it to msn.com was an option
during installation.
