Window Maximum Size

Please restore the freedom to size a window beyond the viewable limits on
one's screen. With RC1 I can't enlarge a window to maximize my view area as
well as hide an area I don't want to see. The inhibits some simple work
patterns when you don't want to be distracted by a flashing ad or a column or
row of information. I've also used enlarged windows to look at opposite
extreme ends of a large spreadsheet or web page with two open windows.

This is a standard windowing behaviour that has been around for ages and is
likely to have other adverse effects on some other work patterns. Don't hold
our hands too much in this case.

Please restore the previous behaviour or give us the option to restore it.

And let's demand this: allow us to resize utility dialog boxes/windows. For
example, you get into MSCONFIG, and you cannot resize that box. So, you have
to scroll back and forth, resizing the columns. This is and has been a huge
pain-in-the-butt with all dialog boxes of this nature since time immemorial.
What is so difficult about changing that behaviour?

I say nothing; I've spent a lot of time in software companies, and it's a
simple routine. It points out to me that there is a fundamental flaw in MS's
"user testing".
