window mail properties not responding

Every time I send and receive mail I get disconnected , try to go into
tools, accounts , mail,properties and then connections and it freezes up
every time. Anyone else with this problem or know how to fix it???
 
Several others have reported this problem, but there is no definitive
fix. If you are running any third party security software (antivirus,
anti-spyware, etc.) try uninstalling it to see if it cures the problem.
If all else fails, upgrade to Windows Live Mail:
