When I type information into any window previous
information always pops up. I think this is suppose to
help you by remembering what you have already typed, but
it is annoying. For example, if I am searching for a file
on my computer or exploring the internet via google and I
type in the letter "a" all the stuff I had done before
that starts with a come up (e.g., action, airport, etc).
Does anyone know how to stop that from happening? It
happens anywhere you need to type info (even when I am
looking on amazon at books). My friend has Xp and it
doens't happen on his computer. I clear the history but
that only works for internet explorer. I would appreciate
some help.

Look here:
In IE
Go to:
Tools then select Internet Options
then the Content tab, then AutoComplete

In Search Companion, select Change Preferences
at the bottom if autocompete is on - then turn it off.

Hope this helps.
