window explorer views

i like to use window explorer to view my files and folders. i want the windows explorer default setting to display the 'details' view. everytime i open a new folder it reverts to the 'large icon' view. suggestions? i'm using home windows xp. thanks for your help!
 
Hi,

Open only one instance of Windows Explorer, set it up the way you want.
Click tools/folder options/view tab, click on "apply to all folders". Then
apply/ok your way out.
