I have a small business network with a DHCP Server running
Windows 2000 advanced server and Active Directory and
another Server sharing my major applications. Just
recently my DHCP server has slowed to a snails pace
whenever I try to open any windows to view information. I
also have one workstation running Windows 2000 Pro and it
is running at the same speed. I have not made any major
changes in the network and have cleaned up both PCs
including defragmenting the drives. I have looked at the
connections and tested the cable between the two. The
other 11 workstations are working fine and even when
accessing the DHCP server to retreive data seem to be just
as fast as they were before. The DHCP Server now takes
about 12 to 15 minutes to reboot when it used to take
about 3 minutes, and same with the workstation. I could
really use some hints because I have run out of ideas.
Thanks
