Using WindowsXP Home Edition/SP2.
When I run WindowsXP System Tool Disk Defrag on my C:\ drive (where OS is
installed) I get the message "Defrag Complete" \ "Some files on this volume
could not be defragmented. Please check the Defragmentation Report for the
list of these files"
When I click on the REPORT, under "Files that did not Defragment" I see NO
files listed.
I have 2 Internal drives, the other drive just holds data (H:\). When I run
Disk Defrag on the H:\drive, the results are; "Defragmentation Completed
Successfully" which support the problem is not with the Disk Defragmenter.
Things I have done: (1) I have run Defrag several times (2) Have run Defrag
in SAFE MODE (3) Have run the WindowsXP tool "Error Checking.....correct
error automatically" (4) downloaded and ran Auslogics Disk Defrag ver 1.3.
None of the above action has corrected the problem, I still get the message
after running Disk Defrag on my C:\...some files on this volume could not be
Defragmented.....etc
How do I correct this and get all files on my C:\ drive defragmented.
