I like the new windows Flip 3D feature, but I notice it doesn't always work.
When I am using IE7 to browse the web, certain websites cannot support the
Aero theme (which is necessary to use Windows Flip 3D), and so windows
automatically reverts to the Windows Vista Basic scheme. In doing so, the
Windows Flip 3D is deactivated. I have to rest my scheme once I close IE7 in
order for it to work.

I´ve experienced a similar thing, At a certain website Vista would revert
to the Vista Basic scheme, and the Aero feature be turned of .
Turned out that this was related to the JAVA applet. Once I updated the
JAVA engine ( Control Panel,JAVA) the problem went away.

Tyson,

I realized it was happening whenever I opened a web browser (IE or Mozilla).
After reading the response left by KS, I upgraded my Java, and that has
solved the problem. Windows no longer reverts back to Vista basic. I hope
this helps.
