Does anyone know if the Microsoft Memory Tester Windiag is compatible with
newer DDR2 memory? Or does it always fail it and cause the program to crash?
Is this a known limitation with the program?
The latest version of windiag was released in 2003 and it's only since that
time that DDR2 has become widespread.

Also, more in general, is it possible to have a system with a particular
type of processor, chipset etc whereby the windiag test always fails but
because of the hardware configuration this doesn't mean the memory is bad
just that this particular system can't run the program?
Thanks.

Nice one wise-guy.
I carryed out a google search, read the windiag instructions and found nothing so I though I'd politely ask here.
If you've got naught constructive to say keep your soft gob shut

Actually I was looking for a download site to run it and se how it worked for me and report back as it sounded like a good thing to do. I then got involved in reading more. If you had mentioned that you had already searched Google then I would never have posted a Google link. I was not intending any wiseguy stuff. Sorry.

Cliff.
