Hi Paul,
I don't think I took the time to get rid off all
of the Media Player, and I'm not sure if it's possible,
but I went and Uninstalled it,as much as I could of it.

If you have simply been deleting files and registry entries you've probably
damaged Windows itself.... Windows Media Player is a part of the system.

There is no reason to "uninstall" it. Winamp will happly work along side
it.

I'd try re-installing WMP
(http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/default.asp) make
sure that is all up and working - make sure midis play in that, and then
simply use Winamp, and associate files you use with that instead. It's
possible by damaging WMP you caused damage to the MIDI system in the
computer.
