I have installed a printer on a computer running XP and
all the other computers running XP can printer through
that computer but my win98se cannot print through that
computer

Is it because they are running to different files systems
win98se(fat32) XP(NTFS)

If I put the printer on the win98se then all the
computers can print through to that computer

Can anyone help

John,

no, the file systems don't play any role in a network.

What happens if you try to print?

The users on Windows 98 computers have to use a username and
password, for which an account exists on the print server, or
they have to use the Guest account, which has to be fully
enabled on the print server, including the right to use empty
passwords.

Please see http://www.michna.com/kb/WxNetwork.htm for details,
particularly about the Guest account.
