As part of the upgrade which I have just done, XP won't
recognise the Creative SB Audio PCI64v Sound Card- have
tried reinstalling the drivers and looking for new drivers
on the net to no avail. How do I listen to sounds again?

Same deal with my external modem which is an Acer 56 Surf
Modem- it is not a 'digitally signed' driver so XP will
use it OK but next time I restart I have to reload the
driver- annoying.

Cheers,

Mr C

www.creative.com for sound.. the modem driver, altho not digitally signed,
should work.. just ok it when installing..

I had similar problem using PCI128, XP = no back speakers but front speakers
ok. No driver update from Creative.

Try looking for Ensoniq drivers. Creative Labs bought out Ensoniq (as they
were one of the first PCI soundcard makers) and folded their tech into
Soundblaster. The early "64's" from Ensoniq and Soundblaster used the same
chips, and the driver should work.
