Out of nowhere, I am having odd problems in Outlook: I can't empty the deleted items folder (Outlook hangs--no error message); I cannot open the single unopened message in my inbox; I cannot receive new mail; after almost any 2 minutes of activity in Outlook, the program freezes and I ave to shut it down using the Task manager. I am running Win98.

Try creating a new mail profile.

Actually, I figured it out. It was a corrupted view. I ran Outlook in "safe" mode and it was okay, so someone recommended renaming outcmd.dat to outcmd.old and restarting--it works fine now.
