Hello,
I have a strange problem and looking for some hints or information....
The hardware consists of a Win98 PC (FAT partitions) connected over
ethernet with a WinXP PC (FAT and NTFS partitions).
On the Win98 PC I have a simple software in a DOS-windox running, that
should access the partitions on the WinXP PC.
To do this I connect first the partitions with "net use ..". This is
also working fine, I have full access with the Explorer and also with
the common commands (dir, cd, ..) out of the DOS-window.
My simple C-software, that should search the whole directory tree of
the WinXP PC has no problems with the files on the FAT partitions but
with the files on the NTFS partitions. It never finished the search in
the tree or craches.
I know the partition stuff is handled by the OS and should be
transparent over a network, but ...
Any ideas or explanations?!?!?!?
Thank you very much,
Marc
