When you try to walk into a secure area then you
need to identify yourself. If you can't then you can't
get in.

Win2000 is a secure operating system. It has a
number of accounts (set up by you!). If some other
PC tries to access the Win2000 shares then it can
do so unchallenged if it supplies suitable credentials.
If it does not then it will be challenged. Your Win98
credentials are not acceptable - hence the challenge.

The solution is simple: Create an account such as
"ben" on the Win2000 PC, with a suitable password,
then use this same account/password when logging on
to the Win98 PC. If unsure how to log on to a Win98
PC with a specific account, repost in a Win9x newsgroup.
