Using an old PC with Win98 in office as a volunteer.
It has Outlook but it has not got the CALENDAR faciltity to save
appointments, etc.
Dont have the original CDs and thery are NOT connected to the net.
So i need to download OE at home (have net) to take and install in the
office.
Can someone point me in the right direction please? Where to get it,. etc?

thank you

OG

1. If you're thinking you can use Outlook Express's (OE) calendar, it
doesn't have one. Only Outlook (OL) does.

2. Is the machine running IE6 now?

3. If Outlook Express (MSIMN.EXE) isn't present in Start > Programs, go to
Add/Remove Programs and select Internet Explorer > Add a component >...

4. If, after getting OE in place, OL insists on being the default Mail
Client in IE: Tools > Internet Options > Programs:

a. http://www.oehelp.com/oedef.aspx; then...

b. http://www.oehelp.com/oelnk.aspx

If still no joy, see:

I apologize for thw confusion...

yes I have OE but I need a calendar so I guess i need Outlook.
Is that a separate software or it can be downloaded from microsoft's?
Thank you

OG

Outlook Calendar is part and parcel of MS Outlook, itself a part of MS
Office, OG. These applications must be purchased, not downloaded.

I am cross-posting my reply to an Outlook Calendaring-specific newsgroup
(microsoft.public.outlook.calendaring) in hopes that someone there may be
able to assist you. They'll need to know what version of Outlook is
installed (e.g., Outlook 97, Outlook 2000, etc.).

You have stated that the machine in question does not have internet access
and the Outlook or Office CDs can't be found.

Thank you PA Bear.
I have Outlook 97
