Win95 system logon - lost password

Anyone know how I can get around the logon password for my Win95 laptop.
Haven't used it in years. Computer still works, but I haven't got a clue as
to the password.

Assuming that you *don't* mean a BIOS password and you *do* mean a Windows
password, just hit "Cancel" and you'll get in. Win95 didn't really have any
security.

You will get better advice in microsoft.public.win98.gen_discussion,
the likeliest place to find Win95/98 mavens.

Of course, our resident ****wit wouldn't even think about provideing any
clue as to more appropriate place.
 
If it is a Bios password...remove the battery, replace and restart; worked
for me with Win 98SE
