win95 files transfer to XP

Old hack

How can I easily and cost effectively (zero $ if
possible) transfer my files from my original win95
machine to my new XP box?

Have surfed internet: lap-link s/w fails to deliver
(doesn't support 95!). I was hoping that XP could do
this with no further work... just connect a parallel
cable and configure 95's LPT port maybe.

Any takers? Please email me if you can help.

It appears that someone else has experience the same
problem. I shall try out the following from Steve
Winograd - it looks quite high-level information and it
would be preferable if it was more detailed but here
goes...
