Win32/Parite.B

can anybody please help me...ive been infected with the Win32/Parite.B virus
and i just cannot get rid of it. i can find the files infected but it just
keeps coming back at me.

By the way: Neither "firewall" nor anti virus can help, if the user
opens executables from dubious sources.

To get rid of it:

- Boot Win ME in safe mode.
- Execute this tool:
http://shareware.pandasoftware.com/pq/gen/bugbear/pqremove.com
- Disable system recovery (!)
- Finally reboot Win ME.

And last but not least: think about using a better av scanner.

That's what you think happened. Parite (Pinfi) does not propagate through
e-mail! Besides, e-mail wouldn't explain why you get reinfected.

I can see now why you get reinfected time and again. Read
http://invircible.com/item/72 for how to clean your PC. Use F-Prot for DOS as
explained on that page - NAV is plain useless for the purpose.
