win2kpro network starting problem

I have a network with 2000 server and win 2000 professional
with a domain. when computers are starts and preparing and
applying network setting it takes 15 to 30 minutes. but if
i plug off my lan cable it takes less than a minute. how
can i solve this problem

Check the ipconfig/all from the clients. Does everything point to the
server-IP?
How many nics in the server?
