I have windows 2000 installed. Every time I shut it down
it automatically does a restart. Can anyone tell me why
this happens and how can i correct the problem?

Thanks

Have you read any of the messages in this or other newgroups? This type of
thing happens usually as a result of a virus or recently applied update.
What have you changed lately on your computer? What service pack do you
have installed?
Have you searched the MS knowledge base on how to troubleshoot shutdown
problems?? I'm sure you will find plenty of answers there.

Check out Knowledge Base Article #315409. You will at
least find some steps here to take to possibly find your
problem. I had the same problem and it ended up being an
update that I installed.
