I just upgraded my computer (HP Pavillion 4535, Celeron
processor-400 MHz, 256KB memory)@ home office to the
following:

1- Security Update for win2K KB824146
2- Recommended updates for win2K 818043
3- Recommended updates for win2K 822831
4- Microsoft windows junal view win2K
5- Microsoft .NET Framework v1.1
6- Root certificate update
7- CXT modem driver ver. 6.00.03.00
Sinces the upgrades my internet connection speed has been
reduced drastically ( with ADSL speed has droped frmm 770
mbps down to approx. 220 mbps & with dialup modem from 56K
down to 16k).

I am runing windows 2000 Pro and have Explorer 6.

Has anyone encounter this problem and if so any
recommendations on overcoming this problem.

Thanks in advance.

There are viruses that cause drastic reduction in speed of PC's with Windows
2000. I would suggest a reputable anti-virus program with daily updates
available.
