PC was doing ok, 'til I switched from USB to PS/2 kb & mouse. Of
course I had to powered down/up to do this. Now Win2k load hangs on
the "Windows 2000 Professional - Based on NT Technology" window, or in
safe mode, when all the vertical bars become solid. I tried booting
from CD, and it gets stuck at the screen that says "Setup is starting
Windows 2000" In all cases, I see no HD activity.

I don't know if the USB-to-PS/2 switch is just coincidental. In any
case, how can I get my PC to boot again? Thanks!

If you would've suggersted to re-flash the BIOS, you would've been
correct.
I did just that and it loaded.

I think it's most likely the PS2 ports were disabled in the BIOS. The
flash probably reset the BIOS CMOS settings to defaults.
