Recently our RRAS server started to refuse remote
connections. The server would generate
Event Type: Error
Event Source: RemoteAccess
Event Category: None
Event ID: 20050
Date: 10/16/2003
Time: 3:08:18 PM
User: N/A
Computer: IBMSERVER
Description:
The user MSI\dneilan connected to port VPN2-3 has been
disconnected because no network protocols were
successfully negotiatated.
The Client would get the following message in a pop up:
TCP/IP reported error 733: A connection to the computer
could not be completed. You might need to adjust the
protocols on this computer.
I have checked all the usual websites (Google, EventId,
Microsoft support and Technet) The articles either are out
of date or not applicable.
I have disabled and enabled RRAS several times, re-
configuring the system for no luck. same errors.
Rebooted - blah blah blah
The client works fine to many other RRAS servers, and no
othe clients can connect either. (tested from Intra and
Internet)
