win2k server & winxp networking

Is there any tips on sharing folders on win2k server
networking w/ winxp clients? I have tried to assign
permissions to various users, but some could access, some
could not. Please help
 
Are the user's using their domain accounts?
Do you have more restrictive NTFS permissions? Generally speaking, you
don't change share permissions but lock down access with NTFS permissions.

You open the door with rights set on the share and you control who has
access to what at the file system level. Lock down = set security.
