my office have a Win2000 server , it act as DC & Terminal Server
and have all the window security update

in this few days , the server will shutdown automatically
and not like the virus effect , as no count down window pop out
it just like mannul shut down the computer , as it will close all the window
and disconnect all the TS client then shut down

and only my account is administrators group
I also disable & Hide all user's "shutdown" icon in start menu bar ,
(that mean they login Terminal Server won't see the Shutdown Button)
then I give them a logoff icon for logout

and the computer haveb't connect to UPS

I want to ask , why it will happen and how to solve it ?

thx

Well, that's something I'd remedy right away. Get a decent UPS with a
management cable for power conditioning & battery backup.

What do you see in your event logs?

No special log in event viewer
only some TS printer error log before window shutdown

yep...I will got my UPS soon

you think the shut down problem is related to UPS ?

Could be due to not having one, yes. Hard to say. Order a UPS today! Check
out the APC SmartUPS 1500 for a nice one.
