Hi all,
I've got a Win2k server w/ SP4 here. A couple of weeks ago I put it
behind a firewall and added a NIC so that one tied directly to the FW
on the 192.168.2.x subnet and the first NIC tied into the LAN on the
192.168.1.x subnet. I did this because I had to make the server
available on the web for Outlook Web Access users to be able to
connect (as securely as possible).
Anywho, since then the server no longer shows up in the browse list.
I heard about RRAS causing a problem and disabled it but that didn't
help. I also disabled NetBIOS over TCP/IP on the new NIC but that also
didn't help. If I call the server by name (\\server\) then it shows up
fine and I can map drives without issue. Also, there are no errors in
the event log.
Anyone have any insight? I did a search on Google groups and and MS'
KB but came up empty. I did here about multihoming being a problem but
I couldn't find anything that said either exactly why or more
importantly, what to do about it. Any help would be appreciated!
