it is probably blue screening so fast you don't see it

I had this problem: to fix it I held down F8 to go into
safe mode, after a little debugging I saw it was choking
on my ATI Radeon video driver. So I rebooted into safe
mode with F8 again selected VGA mode this time. It came
up OK but with a 16 color 640x480 screen. Then I un-
installed the video card in device mgr and rebooted.
Plug&Pray found the card, I used my CD to supply the
driver, it loaded and now it is all better. Hope this
helps.

Hi Ray
I guess it´s toasted if you cant run the computer whith the
VGA mode either. My computer reboots what ever i do, I
even removed the graphic card :(

I have a similar problem: after installing the SP4 update
and the security patch for the Blaster worm my PC reboots
continually. It reboots as soon as I have entered my user
name and password at the logon screen. If I leave the
computer alone it reboots repeatedly without any user
intervention.

I am able to run my machine in Safe Mode. I have
downloaded Symantec's BlastFix removal tool but it doesnt
find any infection. I have also updated my virus
definitions and scanned with Norton Antivirus but again it
did not find any infection.

How did you diagnose that your video driver was causing
the problem?

Regards
Jonathan
