Modified local security settings and now can't log on.
H E L P! New user who was previously hacked and tried to
take proper precautions, but must have screwed it up.

Desperately need to be up and running for job apps, or
facing eviction.

Single gal pleads for help from someone knowledgeable,
with a heart, and in the spirit of the season.

God bless you in advance for your help.

If computer is a domain member then it could be placed in an OU with
overriding GPO settings for logon locally and deny logon locally. If not a
domain member, see the tip below for two ways to try including using ntights
from a remote computer. If no remote computer is available then a reinstall
of the operating system into the existing \winnt folder without formatting
is in order which would also require reinstallation of all appliccations,
service pack, and critical updates. Any EFS encrypted files could be lost in
a reinstall however and at best expensive to recover. --- Steve
