Win2k Pro will not detect scis and usb at the same time

I'm installing a external usb writer and i cannot see it
in device manager, i got a SCSI scanner when i pull off
the scanner, i can see the USB Writer in device manager
but cannot both at the same time, if someone know what
doing that,

Check to see if you have 2 peripherals set to the same
SCSI ID number
 
You have two devices that can't/won't share an IRQ. This does still happen
sometimes. You cannot, most likely, change the IRQ used by the USB port. Try
moving the SCSI card to a different PCI slot. You might try reading your
motherboard manual to try to determine which slots share which IRQs and put
the SCSI card in a slot that doesn't share an IRQ, but has an IRQ devoted to
it.
