Hi,

does anyone out there know how to hide or displey hidden
partition in a win2K environment (Win2K OS)

What exactly are you trying to do? You can "hide" a partition by not
assinging it a drive letter using Disk Managment. Then only someone with
Administrator privilages can run Disk Managment and assign it a drive
letter. Do you have something else in mind?

thanks for the reply, I have a 10g HD (a legacy one) that
only shows 500mb, I can only assume someone has 'hidden'
the remainder of the drive in a hidden partition.

All I want is to recover the space but thought it might be
useful to understand how it was done.

There is not really anything such as a hidden partition in Windows 2000.
As long as you can run Disk Managment you can see everything about the
drive including unallocated space and partitions that don't have a drive
letter assigned.
