can any give some advice on the dis advantages of using mirrored volumes.

are they a mare to put right if the mirror fails

any tips

thanks in advance

Mirrored volumes will tend to slow the system down a
LITTLE BIT, but they are a piece of cake to repair if
they are hot swappable.

Slower? With hardware mirroring I disagree. Hardware mirroring does
not slow down the system at all. The I/O controller receives the data
stream just once and writes it to 2 discs instead of one.
