Hi,
I have a problem with my Win2K machine that is beginning to drive me
crazy...
It started off where I could browse my network of XP and 98SE machines ok
and access the internet via the LAN ADSL.
Now I can still access the network but I cannot access the internet. For a
while a recvd an Error 65 whilst trying to ping.
My other machines can access the internet and network ok.
I can ping the local network. I can ping the router. I can ping addresses
on the internet - but I cannot always ping domain names. Therefore I
thought it was a DNS problem - but all of my settings on all 3 computers
match completely.
I did some googling around and spotted similar problems and ZoneAlarm
highlighted as the cause. So I followed these instructions.
Re-install ZoneAlarm
Disable all blocking
Uninstall ZoneAlarm
However, this did not work. ZoneAlarm kept locking up on my system and once
it had been "end tasked" it would not run again - and I couldn't reboot.
I have reinstalled Win2k over the top of itself, I have uninstalled my
TCP/IP protocol and reinstalled it - still doesn't work.
Anyone any ideas?
Cheers
Terry.
